And while Gerry wants to do a “good job,” he wants to “play sports and have fun” more, prompting him to find a way around all this paperwork. Meanwhile, having cut her maternity leave short, Bobbi juggles work and a newborn, and a still-vengeful Lisa befriends some fellow moms who may have some helpful dirt on Xavier.

It's almost the end of the school year, and Gerry seems to be the only teacher at Xavier who hasn't been offered a full-time contract for next fall. Even after Gerry plays the marriage card, it seems Lisa can't guarantee him anything beyond fulltime substitute. Unwilling to accept this fate, Gerry gets an idea to start his own Charter school. Meanwhile, Robert and Bobbi interview applicants to fill Bobbi's position while she's away on maternity leave. Her initial concern about finding a qualified candidate is replaced with a deep insecurity that she won't even be missed when the candidates prove quite overqualified. Lisa pulls out all the stops to throw an end-of-year faculty party. But when her efforts seem to go unappreciated, Lisa makes a bold move.
