The Journey Within

In this episode, Mark Peterson finds himself deep in the heart of Peru and focuses on completing the prestigious South America Upland Slam. With only one bird remaining, the Western Peruvian Dove, the trip has led him to a private hunting property. This final challenge will take place over a cut cornfield, a favorite spot for the doves. To blend in, Mark and his team craft a makeshift blind using a mix of corn stalks, and timber, just enough cover while allowing for a clear shot. These West Peruvian Doves are known for their erratic flight patterns, often bouncing from one tree to another in a random manner, making timing and placement critical.
