The Journey Within
On day three of Mark Peterson's South America Upland Slam adventure, the guys are snowed in while waiting to head to La Pampa, where the weather promised to be much better. After a tense wait for the go-ahead to fly out, they finally touched down in La Pampa and headed straight to the field. There, the grasslands and scattered thickets provide the perfect habitat for Bushed Tinamou, known for their elusive nature and penchant for hiding among dense underbrush. Day four is dedicated to hunting these Tinamou, with Mark eager to track them in their natural habitat. On day five, their focus shifts to Pigeons, where they set up decoys along the edge of a cut cornfield. The anticipation of drawing in flocks makes for an incredible hunt and Mark can't wait to see what the day will bring.
