It's a new school year and Gerry has finally achieved his goal: full-time Phys Ed! But when he finds out how Bobbi's been teaching Phys Ed, Gerry's appalled, and sets out to teach the course the way it should be taught…or the way he thinks it should be taught, anyways. Meanwhile, Dwyer learns the ropes to his newly appointed position of Vice Principal and Nisha, fresh off her camp counsellor summer job, struggles to reset boundaries with three seniors.
It's almost the end of the school year, and Gerry seems to be the only teacher at Xavier who hasn't been offered a full-time contract for next fall. Even after Gerry plays the marriage card, it seems Lisa can't guarantee him anything beyond fulltime substitute. Unwilling to accept this fate, Gerry gets an idea to start his own Charter school. Meanwhile, Robert and Bobbi interview applicants to fill Bobbi's position while she's away on maternity leave. Her initial concern about finding a qualified candidate is replaced with a deep insecurity that she won't even be missed when the candidates prove quite overqualified. Lisa pulls out all the stops to throw an end-of-year faculty party. But when her efforts seem to go unappreciated, Lisa makes a bold move.
Gerry walks in on Trudy and Emma watching a viral video of a bus driver being bullied by students. After learning about a crowdfunding effort that raised money for the poor bus driver, he recruits Simon to help him stage a ‘bullying' incident on the bus, in which he is to be the sad victim. Meanwhile, Bobbi takes a dozen pregnancy tests and finally accepts that she's pregnant. When the tests are discovered, she finds herself roped into Robert's misguided hunt for twelve frightened pregnant young students.. Dwyer has a new lady in his life and seems happier than he's been in a long time. Nisha couldn't be more pleased for him, until she discovers that his new love interest bears a striking resemblance to the sketch composite of the suspect in his late wife's murder case.
Umma is mistaken for a server at a school event for Janet. Appa takes up math tutoring to prove his teaching prowess. Shannon is finally single but will Jung make a move?
While Appa is reluctant to have a houseguest, Umma is the one who ends up having problems with their visitor. Jung accuses Janet of being cold-hearted, and Shannon tackles an office bullying problem.
Appa and Umma are at odds over a wedding dress, while Shannon and Jung struggle with cultural sensitivities after a visit to a burger joint. Janet grapples with the fallout of Raj's canceled engagement, and faces an awkward night out with Nathan.
