Nội dung “Shrek 3” nói về Shrek sau khi đã yên vị phò mã bên nàng công chúa Fiona (đã không còn xinh đẹp). Nhưng sự đời thật khó biết đến chữ “ngờ”… Tiếp nối nội dung của câu chuyện ở phần 1 và 2, Shrek 3 đưa khán giả theo chân những nhân vật cổ tích tham gia một chuyến phiêu lưu mới không ít những tình huống dở khóc dở cười. Bộ phim đã đạt được nhiều đề cử danh giá cho phim hoạt hình xuất sắc nhất ở các giải thưởng lớn như Kid’s Choice Award hay BAFTA Award.
