บนเกาะฮาวายอันงดงาม เด็กหญิงผู้ว้าเหว่นามลีโล ได้เก็บสัตว์ประหลาดตัวหนึ่งมาเลี้ยง โดยที่เธอคิดว่ามันคือลูกสุนัขที่แสนน่ารัก และตั้งชื่อให้มันอย่างไม่ต้องลังเลเลยว่า "สติทช์" แต่สิ่งที่ลีโลไม่รู้คือแท้จริงแล้ว สติทช์เป็นสัตว์ประหลาดตัวแสบที่เกิดจากห้องทดลองของเอเลี่ยนบนดาวดวงหนึ่งอันไกลโพ้น และได้หลบหนีมา สิ่งเดียวที่สติทช์สนใจในตัวลีโลคือ สติทช์หวังใช้เธอเป็นกำบังในการหลบหนีนักล่าจากต่างดาวที่เดินทางมาจับตัวเขาโดยเฉพาะ แต่ท้ายที่สุดนั้นความหมายของคำว่า "โอฮาน่า" ในภาษาพื้นเมืองฮาวายที่แปลว่าครอบครัวนั่นเองที่เปิดหัวใจให้กับสติทช์ และทำให้สติทช์ได้ค้นพบสิ่งที่มีค่าในตัว ซึ่งไม่ได้ถูกสร้างมาให้กับเขาตั้งแต่แรกนั่นคือ...ความรักและความห่วงใยต่อผู้อื่น
