The survivor of an Alaskan avalanche, Dr. Lia Freeman (Caroleen Feeney) is an environmentalist concerned about a similar disaster occurring if a proposed new oil pipeline is built. Freeman adamantly warns the planners of the likelihood of a major avalanche, but they ignore her pleas. As she realizes that a massive whiteout is imminent, Freeman tries to get the citizens of a nearby town to leave, aided by brave helicopter pilot Neal Meekin (Thomas Ian Griffith).
Mama and daughters get forced by circumstances into bootlegging and bank robbing, and travel across the country trailed by the law.
Banker Martin Raikes heads to Monaco to investigate strange financial activity surrounding a film production that his bank is financing. There he encounters the film's star, the washed-up, hard-drinking one-time action star Jake Mellows. Before he can conduct a thorough investigation, Raikes finds himself framed for the assassination of a government official.
