Hyun Jun visits Doldam Hospital to meet Woo Jin. He used to be the doctor of Samjin Hospital, where Woo Jin was. Hyun Jun pokes around people and trying to scatter them. Dr. Kim finally decides to take action and fight against Dr. Park. After Woo Jin found out that it was Eun Jae's brother who made a mistake and kept it secret to the patient, Eun Jae also finds out about the truth.
Nurse Oh gets furious at Dr. Kim because he wouldn't listen. After Dr. Kim collapsed, everyone is worried about him. Woo Jin suggests Dr. Kim receives surgery on his wrist. Director Park fires Dr. Nam and assigns his people at the ER to stop accepting trauma patients. During surgery, Woo Jin finds out that a doctor who performed an operation on his patient made a mistake but didn't inform the patient.
Min Kook arrives at the accident scene. Dr. Kim's and Min Kook's opinions on how to treat patients conflict. Woo Jin spots that Dr. Kim is also hurt, but Dr. Kim won't rest and get treated. A police officer comes to the hospital and asks Ah Reum to have a word about the rape victim.

But Myung Shim gets furious and stands against him. Dr. Kim takes a bus to get back to the hospital, but the bus rolls over.

Eun Jae feels uncomfortable for causing trouble, so she decides to apologize. Doldam hospital gets a call, and Dr. Kim and Min Guk fiercely conflict over a patient from prison.
Dr. Kim gets disappointed at Woo Jin and tells him to go back. But Woo Jin asks Dr. Kim for one more chance, and Dr. Kim gives Woo Jin a week of grace period to prove himself. Meanwhile, an important figure comes into the emergency room of Doldam Hospital. Do Yoon Wan, the chairman of the Geosan University Foundation, figures out the news and begins to work out his scheme.
As Doldam Hospital suffers from a lack of doctors, Kim Sa Bu visits the main hospital to ask to send young doctors to him and runs into CS fellow Cha Eun Jae and GS fellow Seo Woo Jin. Seo Woo Jin is ostracized by other doctors because he had done whistleblowing on other doctors' corruption and malpractice. On the other hand, Cha Eun Jae always takes a tranquilizer before operations due to her operation fright.
Dong-joo receives a letter from the United States but tries to hide its contents from Seo-jung. Seo-jung becomes concerned about Dong-joo, who seems troubled after reading the letter. Meanwhile, Kim Sabu's first love pays a visit to Doldam Hospital...
Dr. Kim and the rest of the staff make their way to the capital. Tonight, they put down their scalpels and medical gowns. They put on their best suits and bring in the physical evidence to dethrone the corrupt and unethical President Do. Yoon Wan tries to negotiate himself out of it, but Dr. Kim is not buying any of it. The press and cameras are on them when the injury of a lifetime takes place.
Dong Joo now asks why Dr. Kim pushed back his father's operation many years ago. Dr. Kim is left dazed and uncertain while they stand before the rest of the staff. The nosy journalist now starts interviewing more people outside the hospital to dig deeper for his juicy case on Doldam. With emotions about his past lingering around the hospital, Dong Joo continues on the cardiac operation that hits very close to his heart.
Seong Jae calls Dr. Kim unexpectedly. He brings an opportunity to Dr. Kim's table, but there happens to be a catch. President Do brings in the news that the hospital is set to be closed. The future of Doldam is close to becoming a mere thought or dream after its doors are sure to be closed by the wrath of Yoon Wan. Dr. Kim this time around, is unable to interfere with the decision.
An advanced death certificate needs to be signed by Dong Joo. He refuses to do so, but President Do and Hyeon Cheol urge him to act quickly against his will. Dr. Kim comes into the office just in time to witness the act. A cardiac arrest happens in the emergency ward, which prompts Dong Joo and Seo Jung to team up against the call of death. Another day in Doldam is another day of broken and mended hearts.
Seo Jung is caught inside Dr. Kim's office, while President Do convinces Dong Joo to be part of his team. Yoon Wan wants to test the worth of Dong Joo, while Dr. Kim worries that Seo Jung isn't trustworthy enough just yet. Dong Joo now deals with a patient who is suspected of being abused. The drunk driver from the major accident shows up with his rich mother that ultimately bothers Seo Jung.
Dong Joo tells Seo Jung to never leave without telling him again. Their conversation is interrupted by the 6-car accident on the road ahead of them. At the hospital, Eun Tak punches an investigator that prompts the need for police intervention. The problem faced by Dr. Kim now is the fact that the whole place is a mess, and there's chaos coming for them.
Dr. Kim comes back unexpectedly, as they all thought he was still under investigation. Everyone doesn't also expect Dr. Kim's new visitor, who happens to be Chairman Shin himself. After being mocked by Hyeon Cheol for being incompetent, Dr. Kim now operates on the big boss. After Dong Joo speaks up of the truth of the unjust treatment received by Doldam Hospital, the chairman makes an important phone call.
A hostage-taking crisis happens in the operating room. The victim at the edge of the knife is Seo Jung, with the sole request is to stop the surgery that currently takes place. The medical team informs the police, but the armed suspect is ready to kill Seo Jung at any minute. With two people's lives on the line, Dr. Kim needs to think fast.
Details There's a standoff at the lobby of the Doldam Hospital. This time, it's In Bum and Hyeon Cheol versus Dr. Kim and the rest of the staff. The dispute isn't over after all the talks that had happened, and the future of Doldam seems to be entering murky waters of this devilish foggy forest of no hope. The micromanagement of President Do is getting in the way of Dr. Kim. For now, Seo Jung handles an 8 in a hundred chance of survival surgery.
Dong Joo insists that the sole reason why he's at the hospital as an intern is that he wants to save lives. In Soo wants him to keep his relationship with his fellow doctors first before he busts any move on the operating table. Seo Jung sees a lot in the new intern. For now, they attend to a couple of patients from a construction site accident.
"Goodbye, Healer" Boss uses Yeongsin's and Munho's weaknesses to continue threatening them, and Jeonghu feels his limitations in fighting him alone. Minja gathers everyone together, and Munho and Yeongsin prepare a retaliation interview. The day before the big day, Jeonghu prepares a gift for Yeongsin and makes a final decision for the welfare of everyone else.
