Black Sheep of Whitehall

The Harrow Correspondence College - Principal, Professor William Davis - differs from its more notable namesake in more than one respect, and in no greater respect than size. It possesses only one pupil, and he hasn't paid his fees. When Professor Davis visits the pupil, a young assistant in the press division of the Ministry of International Commerce, in an effort to extract the unpaid fee from him, he becomes involved in a hilarious series of misadventures with kidnapped professors and Nazi plots, and culminating in a crazy car chase involving a baby carriage and a bath chair.

Flying Scotsman

The day before he is due to retire an old engine-driver reports his stoker for drunkenness. The man is discharged and threatens to make trouble. As the train is leaving on the driver's last run the stoker boards it, followed by the driver's daughter. During the run the old man discovers what he believes to be an illicit love between his daughter and the new stoker, whom he knocks off the cab. He is himself struck down by his former mate, but the girl is also there, and she is faced with the awesome task of bringing the great train safely to a standstill.

An Englishman wakes in a hotel bedroom suffering from amnesia and sets out to find his identity. He tracks down his wife but soon learns that the job she saw him leave for every morning did not exist. He learns to his disgust that that is the least of his lies. He is a cad and bigamist (or, worse, he has seven wives and identities). His female lawyer tries to keep him out of jail, though he prefers incarceration to multiple matrimony.

Home at Seven

When bank clerk David Preston returns home at seven, his wife tells him that he did not come home at seven, or at any other time, the previous evening. To his amazement, he has no idea where he could have been. There is a complete gap in his memory between the time he left the bank on Monday until his arrival home that following evening. The family doctor is inclined at first to treat it lightly, but during Preston's 24-hour loss of memory, a murder has been committed.
