Darrin lends a helping hand to D. D. (Danger) O'Riley, a beautiful nineteen-year-old neighbor. As Darrin spends more and more time with D.D., Samantha turns to solitaire. Endora sees a chance to break up the Stephens marriage. She takes George, a warlock, from his harem and persuades him to romance Samantha. Learning George's purpose, Samantha declares she is perfectly happy married to Darrin. Undaunted, George, in the form of a raven, flies to Darrin's office, where Darrin and Larry Tate are working on a campaign for an electric typewriter. George flies into the room and begins to type on the new machine. Darrin and Larry feel the raven is the perfect image for a series of T.V. commercials. When Samantha tells Darrin who George really is, George materializes into human form and gets mixed up for awhile with D.D. Endora is miffed. When realizing that his witchcraft is powerless against the love Samantha and Darrin have for each other, George returns to his harem.

Phoning from London, the Tates inform the Stephens that their governess has been taken ill. They ask Darrin and Samantha to care for the child until they return. Gladys Kravitz sees them leaving the house and returning with a baby. Assuming the Stephens' baby has arrived, Gladys congratulates Maurice, Samantha's father, on the birth of his grandson. Maurice is shocked to find the baby is not being taught witchcraft. He flies away with the child to the Warlock's Club in London. Meanwhile, the Tates arrive at the local airport. Darrin tries to stall while Samantha finds their baby. In London, after many tests, the Warlocks tell Maurice the baby "hasn't got it." Nanny Witch adds that the baby is a mortal like the father. At the Stephens home, Samantha and Darrin are about to tell the Tates their baby is missing, when Maurice arrives with the child. Maurice's pride is restored when Samantha tells him her baby is not due for several months. Arriving with a present, Gladys is told to wait until Samantha's baby is born. Before vanishing through a wall, Maurice hands Gladys a martini. Watching Gladys down it, Samantha hopes she will not remember what she has seen and heard.

When strange things begin happening to Adam Newlarkin, a friend of Darrin's, Aunt Clara tells Samantha he has inherited the spell placed by a witch on his ancestor who was a judge in Salem two hundred years before. Aunt Clara adds that unless Adam follows the antidote for the spell strictly, he will be branded a thief. The Stephens learn that Adam has been hired by a local bank. Samantha and Darrin manage to get Adam to kiss a dog, the first step. With Aunt Clara's help, Darrin dunks Adam in a pool three times. They have trouble persuading him to ride through town shouting praise of witches, which is the final step. However, finding his briefcase stuffed with money , Adam, a true native of Salem, believes he is under a spell. He mounts a horse and starts riding. Bank manager Abercrombie and a detective, having discovered the loss of seventy five thousand dollars, come to the Stephens' home. Aunt Clara makes the money disappear from the briefcase. Abercrombie apologizes to Adam after learning that a bank employee has been taken into custody with the stolen cash.

Learning that he is about to become a father, Darrin waits on Samantha hand and foot. Then Larry Tate convinces him that all women would make a career out of having a baby if you allowed them to. He gives Darrin a book on the subject which states that the more active the mother, the happier she will be, and the healthier the child. Darrin returns home completely convinced. Endora is infuriated when she hears Darrin ordering Samantha to do chores around the house. The following day, Darrin wakes up with a backache. At an office lunch, he fights for extra pickles. When Samantha learns of this, she faces up to her mother. Endora admits she has cast a spell over Darrin, but will do nothing to change the situation for the present. Darrin, dis-cussing his plight at a bar, becomes obsessed with the idea that he is going to have a baby himself. Finally, Endora removes the spell and Darrin becomes completely attentive to Samantha once more. She agrees with Darrin's assertion that he is one man in a million who knows just how she feels.

Samantha's Aunt Clara arrives on the Stephens' first anniversary with presents for Samantha and Darrin. Casting a spell to adjust a checkered cap she has given Darrin, Aunt Clara uses the wrong words and turns Darrin into a chimpanzee. Unable to remember how to remove the spell, Aunt Clara goes home to look for the formula. When Samantha leaves the house, Endora stays with Darrin. Darrin leaps out of a window and runs into Gladys Kravitz. She takes the chimp back to her house. Soon after, Aunt Clara comes with her book of magic, Samantha returns. Samantha tells Aunt Clara she must find Darrin since her doctor has told her she is going to have a baby. Meanwhile, Gladys and Abner have turned Darrin over to the zoo, where he is caged with three other chimps. Samantha goes to the zoo. Then Aunt Clam arrives and turns Darrin back to his former self. Samantha is finally able to tell him he is to be a father. Later, Gladys begins telling the Stephens about the chimpanzee. Suddenly realizing that Darrin is wearing the same outfit as the chimp, Gladys streaks back to her own house.

Almost as determined as Endora to break up Samantha's marriage to a mere mortal, Samantha's cousin Edgar, an elf, begins playing pranks on Darrin. Darrin's agency has been trying to hold onto the Shelley Shoe account. Edgar, invisible to all, plagues Darrin in his office. Darrin is sure Endora is working on him again, and has difficulty persuading Larry Tate to let him present the new campaign to Mr. Shelley. At the sales meeting, Fred Schulwiler, as unscrupulous competitor, almost gets the account when he makes it appear that Darrin is trying to make Mr. Shelley look ridiculous. When Samantha convinces Edgar that she is very happy with Darrin, he switches his attentions to Schulwiler. Before Edgar is through, Schulwiler has lost all chance of landing the Shelley account. Darrin, coming up with an advertising campaign featuring an elf not unlike Edgar, ties up the account for his firm.

Samantha and Endora discover the culinary delights of Mario's restaurant. Mario tells them he is going broke because he refuses to sell pizza. Samantha learns that Darrin's agency has a new client, Linton Baldwin, the owner of a large chain of pizza parlors. When Samantha uses witchcraft to get a huge newspaper ad for Mario, and Endora inserts a plug for him on Baldwin's TV program, Baldwin tells Larry Tate he is cancelling his account and signing with the agency handling Mario's restaurant. Realizing Darrin's career is in jeopardy, Samantha persuades Endora to help save the Baldwin account for Darrin. They lay out a spectacular advertising campaign for Baldwin and give the credit to Darrin's agency. Not only does Baldwin ask Darrin's agency to keep his account, but Mario's restaurant becomes a great success.

As Darrin naps in the living room, Endora points out some of the unfortunate details of his face. Samantha at first protests when her mother, using witchcraft, changes Darrin's looks but then adds some touches of her own. Awakening, Darrin demands an explanation. Samantha can't explain why she and Endora were changing his features, and Darrin begins to worry. As the obsession grows, Samantha decides to build up her husband's ego. Changing her own personality, Samantha becomes a French sculptress, Michelle. She tells Darrin his face exudes the masculine appeal she has always tried to find in a model. Darrin turns down Michelle's request that he pose for her, suspecting that she is Samantha. A substitute secretary, Barbara Lucas, appears at the office and Darrin, thinking it is another of Samantha's tricks, makes a play for her, just as Samantha walks in. Her jealous reaction convinces Darrin that Samantha really loves him. Darrin explains be thought she was posing as Barbara, but leaves Samantha with an uncertain feeling.

After an argument, Gladys Kravitz locks her husband out of their home. The Stephens invite Abner to spend the night at their place. Later, when it appears that Abner, using all his privileges as a guest, is more than satisfied with the arrangements and is making no effort to return to his own home, Darrin demands that Samantha take action. Not only is Samantha unsuccessful in all her attempts to effect a reconciliation, but she learns that Gladys wants a divorce. When all else fails, Samantha gets the idea of using sleep therapy to reunite the Kravitzes. Feeling that one of the happiest days of her life is the day a man proposes marriage, and a woman accepts him, Samantha projects Gladys and Abner in their dreams back to that day. Then she awakens them and each begins looking for the other. Later, as Samantha and Darrin look forward to spending an evening at home alone, the Kravitzes arrive to celebrate their reunion.

Once there, Aunt Clara removes a fire hydrant so Darrin can park. At the party, Samantha's dress begins to vanish and Aunt Clara's other magical efforts begin to disintegrate. Agreeing to drop Barlow at his hotel, Darrin finds the hydrant has returned to its place beside the car. As a policeman approaches, Darrin's outer garments disappear. Aunt Clara's efforts to help result in chaos, with Barlow, Darrin and the policeman dressed in each other's clothing. Barlow leaves, vowing Darrin will never get his account, and still in his underwear, Darrin is jailed with Montague, an alcoholic. After Aunt Clara's attempts to clothe Darrin fail, Samantha goes to his cell with a suit of clothes. When Judge Crosetti hears Montague's mad account of a change of clothing in the cell, he releases Darrin. Larry Tate, having heard Barlow's equally wild story, decides his company is not interested in handling his account.

Despite Endora's demand that Samantha accompany her to a witches celebration of Halloween, Darrin insists that his wife stay at home to entertain Louise and Larry Tate, Jack Rogers, a client, and his wife, Phyllis. Disguising herself as a child in a gypsy costume, Endora hexes Darrin with a spell that will gradually turn him into a werewolf. When Samantha demands that her mother remove the spell, Endora tells her she can't remember the words. After the guests arrive, Darrin is forced to go out of the room from time to time to shave off the werewolf hair which is beginning to grow all over him. Finally, when dinner arrives, Darrin starts snarling and jumps through as open window. Larry and Jack, sure that Darrin is in werewolf costume, bring him back into the house. Darrin, fearful of what he might do, gets Samantha to lock him in the call closet. Endora reappears in a high fashion evening gown. When Samantha tells her she is behaving exactly like the stereotype of a witch she hates so much, Endora returns Darrin to his normal self. Later, Jack, certain that Endora is also garbed for Halloween, compliments her on her bizarre outfit. Endora gestures, and a lion's tail appears on Jack. Endora tells Darrin Jack won't notice it until he tries to remove his trousers.

While Howard Norton shows the Stephens a black Peruvian rose, Samantha tells Darrin she feels ill and has lost her witchcraft. The doctor tells Samantha that her health is perfect. Gladys sees the doctor's car and brings some chicken soup. When square green spots appear on Samantha's face, Abner is sure the chicken soup is responsible. Aunt Clara arrives and lists the ingredients for a remedy. Darrin buys all the ingre-dients, except an ostrich feather, from Mr. Trigby, who caters to witches. Trying to take the ostrich feather from a woman's hat, Darrin is arrested but later released. Aunt Clara, after using witchcraft to produce an ostrich, tells Darrin she still needs four petals from a black Peruvian rose. Darrin is arrested when he tries to steal the petals from Mr. Norton's precious bloom. Finally, Aunt Clara concocts the remedy and cures Samantha. Later, Mr. Norton is astonished when he sees a window box filled with black Peruvian roses Samantha has produced by twitching her nose.
