This backlashes at Joon Hyuk, which results in more damages that will make the possibility of the re-trial to become a more significant challenge for Jung Woo and his allies.

Knowing that Jung Woo is the only person who can prove his innocence, Chul Sik puts all his trust in him as they run away from the police. As the prosecution has more evidence, Min Ho's days of freedom seem to be getting shorter and shorter.
While other inmates love the free food and shelter the prison provides, Jung Woo is determined to get himself out. Min Ho discovered Eun Hye to be working on Jung Woo's case, which makes everything harder for her. Jung Woo finds out that Sung Gyoo only said what he said to prevent him from committing suicide. The prison life continues for Jung Woo, but new evidence unfolds on the other side of the prison cells.
As Eun Hye suspects that the new injuries that happened were no accident, she further investigates Jung Woo's case, hoping to find a connection. That present with a very important message serves as enough evidence to get him off the case and even incriminate himself for the crime. He acts carefully down the line. Eun Hye, who lost every case against Jung Woo, takes on her case in the hopes of winning for once. Her determination leads her to new clues that help them solve the mystery of Ji Soo and Ha Yeon's alleged murder.
Min Ho gets his hands dirty again after working with the jail guards in charge of Jung Woo. A pattern of when Jung Woo loses his memory seems to boggle Joon Hyuk's mind, which slowly makes him doubt his long-time partner and friend in the Prosecutors office. Eun Hye wants to know why Joon Hyuk works so hard on the case and gets an answer she doesn't expect. Jung Woo is left in confinement, which makes him remember more. Hopefully, it'd be enough to solve his current case.
Flashbacks of Jung Woo show how he makes his move trying to prove Min Ho's existence through gathering fingerprints. In prison, he also finds out about pictures of his wife Ji Soo with Min Ho, which is allegedly the reason why he killed his wife and daughter. The mystery of the murder continues, as Eun Hye and Joon Hyuk get on board Jung Woo's case. Could this other family murder be Min Ho's work, or is it Jung Woo's act of anger towards his cheating wife?
After enough evidence was found to incriminate Min Ho, he desperately stages a suicide that allows him to take his twin brother's identity. Prosecutor Jung Woo feels that the living Sun Ho is the criminal Min Ho. However, Min Ho's father Young Woon reveals that Min Ho is a burden to the Chamyung Group, which offends him. Upon Min Ho's realization that his cover's been blown, Jung Woo is now considered a threat to his case that needs to be exterminated.
The entire national baseball league is in a panic due to a drug scandal. Seung Su and General Manager Kim try to protect the Dreams and the Vikings, respectively. However, the rumors about the drug-using players are widespread, and the baseball fans start suspecting Du Ki and Dong Gyu, leading to Seung Su making an unexpected and important decision.
The Dreams have begun off-season training, and they face the Vikings in a practice game. Min Ho is unable to produce the same quality in his pitches as before, and the heads and coaches try to find a way for him to improve. Meanwhile, changes in personnel cause uproar in the Dreams office.
Kyeong Min orders Seung Su to cancel plans for the players of the Dreams to go abroad for off-season training. Seung Su convinces three special instructors with a not-so-pleasant history with the team to train the players during the off-season.
The players' association goes against the Dreams hosting practice sessions with their coaches during the off-season. General Manager Seung Su argues that it's only right that even players with lower salaries are allowed to practice and not pressured to rest during the two months.
General Manager Seung Su agrees to resign from his post, and Se Young becomes interim general manager. The Dreams manages to bring good results at the 2019 KPB Rule 5 Draft, and a sudden interview held with Chang Ju surprises many people and leads to unexpected outcomes.
Despite initial roadblocks in salary negotiations, the Dreams and various players work out their differences and negotiate their contracts. Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding Chang Ju's interview on TV and Yeong Su's employment leads to Seung Su receiving some bad news.
After hearing that total funds for the Dreams will be cut by 30 percent in comparison to the previous year, Seung Su and the management team go into salary negotiations with a determined attitude. They change their way of calculating the salary of each player, to the dismay of some.
Rumors spread that the Dreams' new general manager, Seung Su, is planning to trade the team's most famed player, Dong Gyu, for reasons unbeknownst to the employees. Despite backlash and opposition, Seung Su manages to explain his reasons to the employees and successfully negotiates the trade deal.
The Dreams is a frail baseball team continuously landing the last place. In order to have better results the following season, the team finds a new general manager, Seung Su, who, despite having little experience with baseball, has a track record of winning with other sports.
Jaehwan collapses and the regular board meeting is just around the corner. When everyone is gathered together, Ije tells them that this is the last chance to get Jaejun.
