The intensive training for the Miss Korea finals begins, but Seoul contestants Oh Ji Young, Kim Jae Hee, Shin Sun Young, and Choi Soo Yeon, who share a room, get into a big fight over a trivial matter and receive penalty points. Before the finals, Ji Young refuses to sign a contract stating she must become the exclusive model for BaDa Cosmetics if selected as Miss Korea, and Kang Shik threatens that it will be difficult to become Miss Korea if she doesn't sign.
As it is revealed that Im Sun Joo is an unmarried mother and her 'Jin' (Winner) qualification is revoked, Oh Ji Young learns that she can advance to the finals as 'Mi' (Third Place). The ViVi Cosmetics members and Teacher Jung are happy about this hard-won opportunity, but Yoon, seeing Hyung Joon and Ji Young growing closer, makes an offer to ViVi Cosmetics that is hard to refuse, leaving Hyung Joon in distress.
Oh Ji Young, having failed to place, cannot hide her disappointment, and Hyung Joon feels sorry for her. Director Yang, having learned all the facts, proposes to Ji Young that she leave Hyung Joon and join him to compete in the main competition after Im Sun Joo steps down.
After much struggle, Ji Young competes in the Miss Korea Seoul preliminaries and does her best, but feels overwhelmed by the offensives from Queen Beauty Salon and Seri Beauty Salon. Ji Young and the ViVi Cosmetics members go through a tense preliminary judging process. Meanwhile, Ji Young's family, realizing she went ahead with the Miss Korea pageant, appears at the preliminary venue and tries to forcibly take Ji Young away.
Ji Young, along with the ViVi Cosmetics members including Hyung Joon, begins serious 'Miss Korea' training. Meanwhile, Director Ma and Director Yang are surprised by the news that the Miss Korea pageant might not be held due to the IMF crisis.
Ji Young's family opposes her participation in 'Miss Korea'. Director Ma calmly begins to persuade the family. However, when the topic of 'breast augmentation surgery' comes up, the family and Hyung Joon strongly oppose it even more. Teacher Jung secretly takes samples of ViVi Cream to Kim Kang Shik of BaDa Cosmetics to negotiate.
Ji Young leaves the 'Mandarin Lady Pageant' venue holding Director Ma's hand, and Teacher Jung tries to stop Director Ma. However, Director Ma firmly takes Ji Young and leaves the venue. Ji Young quits her department store job and begins training with Jae Hee and Director Ma's other candidates.
Samjae comes out of surgery but is still very unstable. Seoyeong takes time to repent for all she did and seek forgiveness from the people she wronged... Will she and Ujae be able to get back together?
Just as things were finally getting better between Seoyeong and her father... They're hit with a bombshell! Will Samjae be okay? Will Seoyeong and her family get back together just like the other couples in the drama?

The family celebrate Seollal... Gangsun's still alone and Jiseon decides to call it quits with Gibeom... It seems for real this time. Seoyeong visit home and says hello to her mother for the first time in 3 years... She seems to be getting closer and closer to Ujae.
Seoyeong meets her dad for the first time in 3 years. But she's still as cold and unforgiving to him as ever. Meanwhile, Samjae gets depressed from the meeting and Seoyeong tries to begin her life over.
Seoyeong's left home and everyone's looking for her. She gets help and is taken care of by Yeonhui for the time being. Meanwhile, everyone including Seoyeong's family finds out about what's happened and they're all in despair…
Seoyeong plans to finalize her breakup with Ujae and goes out to start her own practice. The family is breaking apart and everything's in chaos with the continuing shocks. In the end Ujae finally tells Seoyeong what he knew.
Seongjae's home and things are still heated between Jiseon and Somi. Somi won't give up her right as a mother. Meanwhile things are also continuing to get heated between Lawyers Jeong and Lee... But a coincidental run in between Jiseon and Seonu at the law firm makes everything spiral out of control. Just as Ujae is about to forgive Seoyeong and start again, Seonu drops the bombshell on the family.
Having discovered Seoyeong's secret, Seonu works out a way to get her revenge. Seongjae is still on the streets and Seoyeong tries to cheer up Jiseon whilst Hojeong is living happily as the new bride.
Seongjae runs away from home because he can't handle the shock and Seoyeong and Ujae team up to get him back. They've put their troubles on hold for now which shows some hope that things might work out. Jiseon files for divorce whilst Minseok makes a successful debut. In the end, Seonu gets one step closer to ruining Seoyeong's life.
Ujae discovers the truth behind Sangu and is devastated. Seoyeong still can't understand why Ujae is treating her the way he is... Minseok and Seongjae are working hard on their careers and Minseok finds out a bit more about Seongjae's crush. In the end Sangu and Hojeong get their marriage approved.
