The Three Lights are rehearsing for their upcoming musical, which they will be starring in. But they seem to have a hard time winning the approval of the stage director, especially Seiya, who feels that he is being personally tested.
Minako decides to work for the Three Lights as their personal assistant, thinking it will help her to quickly get into the entertainment industry. But Minako soon realizes that being a star is not all fun and glamor...
Usagi runs into Seiya again and is annoyed by his cocky attitude. The next day, she is surprised to find that Seiya and the rest of Three Lights have transferred to her school.

Usagi and her friends go to see a show at the Dead Moon Circus, which suddenly appears in Juban District, and are entertained by all the amazing tricks they see. But Momo starts acting peculiar and leaves the circus, causing Chibi-Usa to become worried.
Zirconia threatens the Amazon Trio that if they don't capture Pegasus by the next new moon, the magic making them human will wear off. A depressed Fish's Eye finds himself at Usagi's home, where he stumbles on the fact that Chibi-Usa is Pegasus's host.
Fish's Eye goes after his next target, Mamoru. But despite his best efforts, Mamoru seems to show no interest in being with anyone besides Usagi, causing Fish's Eye to start questioning his own existence.
Usagi and the girls are excited to attend the school festival—particularly Makoto, who hopes to meet the man of her dreams. Her wish seemingly comes true as she is asked to dance by a handsome man, who is actually Tiger's Eye in disguise.
Usagi and Chibi-Usa meet a strange woman named Rubina who follows them around at the fireworks festival. Unbeknownst to the two girls, Rubina is a princess visiting from the Kingdom of Amethyst who snuck out to experience life outside of her royal duties.
