Moo Gak tries to find Lt. Yeom at Jae Hee's house but does not find the secret room. Jae Hee tells Lt. Yeom will give you an autobiography. Cho Rim feels guilty Lt. Yeom was taken in every stead.
Cho Rim sees the same scent on Jae Hee she's seen before on Dr. Chun's body. She tells Moo Gak she wants the other detectives to know of her ability. Now knowing this, the special investigation unit sets up a plan to secure evidence from Jae Hee's house.
Cho Rim feels sorry to Moo Gak because his sister died instead of her. Moo Gak says that's not a reason to break up, but Cho Rim refuses to relent. Meanwhile, Jae Hee tries, but can't seem to place the face of the photo he stole from Cho Rim's house.
Inspector Kang and the other detectives ask Lt. Yeom why Moo Gak is suddenly kicked off the investigation. She says it's because he is a family member of the barcode-chain-murder victim. Meanwhile, Cho Rim is in shock after reading Dr. Chun's letter.
Just after arriving to the restaurant, Moo Gak and the other detectives witness a man falling from the rooftop. Moo Gak discovers Jae Hee looking down from there. Jae Hee, who has no time to make excuses, is arrested for being caught red-handed.
When Moo Gak asks the troupe leader to take Cho Rim back, he's ordered to make him laugh. Meanwhile, a body with an engraved barcode is found at the park, breaking the chain-murder pattern and creates chaos within the special investigation team.
Cho Rim tells Moo Gak that Joo Ma Ri's scent is headed to the river. Her car and corpse are found there. Noting the barcode on Ma Ri's arm, Lt. Yeom is convinced it's a barcode chain murder and orders Moo Gak to join the special investigation team.
Moo Gak asks to be a detective to the chief of homicide, who gives him a case file. Chief says only if he finds the culprit in ten days. Meanwhile, Cho Rim suggests that Moo Gak be her sketch comedy partner in lieu of giving her the car repair fee.
High school student Cho Rim becomes a witness to her parents' murder scene, runs for her life from the suspect and gets hit by a car. Moo Gak then gets a call that Eun Seol was hurt. He rushes to the hospital and thinks she's dead from the neck wound..
Gun and Mi Young spend blissful days together, while Chief Tak and Yong try to recreate the “Macau revival” plan.
Daniel finally finds the younger sister he has been searching for, and Gun is crestfallen to hear Mi Young plans to return to France. Yong suggests recruiting a female artist as a key strategic move for the company—and recommends Mi Young—but she turns Gun's business proposal down. Meanwhile, Daniel formally proposes to Mi Young.
