Why has a whale calf run aground on an isolated beach near Dolphin City? And what's causing the girls' migraines? Does it have anything to do with the dolphin twins' bizarre sickness? During their investigations the mermaids come across a strange fishing boat using illegal technology: an extremely low-frequency military radar device.
Murray and Burke are inconsolable: their pal Danny the octopus has disappeared! By chance, Cleo finds out that he's in fact been captured by the Oceanic Center, who are conducting scientific research. Murray puts pressure on the mermaids to get Danny out of there and bring him back to the sea. But Danny doesn't want to go home.
When Emma, Cleo and Rikki find out two superstars – Brad Patinson and Scarlett Belladonna - are shooting a film in Dolphin City, directed by the famous Martin Fabiola, they try anything to get on the set. Luckily Zane has been hired by the production! Only Rikki prefers to approach the stars in her own way – underwater of course!
Vashan nearly scares Alex into submission using an illusion. Diva discovers Kuru's report has made Omar call a secret royal council against him, and tells Vashan. He intrudes it to accuse Omar of stealing the magic jewel, which is found is Omar's desk, to which nobody else has access.
Marcus and Alex want to exchange one month together-gifts. Alex just asks Kuru's wise advice, but Marcus left the choice to Amanda. Kuru generously gives her one the royal Manjipoor coins she admires. Amanda tricks sweet-tooth Anala into transporting her to Manjipoor to buy a diamond necklace.
Kuru reports to Omar and the council of elders about Vashan's hostile intrusion in the other world, but they can't counter a royal. Meanwhile Vashan has used the magical gem again, and using a box and carpet can prevent being sent back.
The band bunch prepares for the school's masked dance, an concept unknown to Kuru. JB was turned down by 48 girls, so he's desperate to ask Kosma on the Manjipoor market and tricks Alex to take him there, supposedly looking for her perfect dress, behind Kuru's back.
Marcus got the band a gig in his uncle Harry's café, where Zom Records executives have lunch, but the stage is too small, so they must perform a duet by Marcus and Alex, who abuses some minor magic. Omar informs the elders one of Anala's magical headdress jewel was stolen.
Kuru tells Alex that Anala's birthday is a grand state affair in Manjipoor, where the elephant chooses one subject to be granted a wish. She offers to his and Omar's delight to preside over the palace party. Told it's invitation only, she magically fakes invitations for her friends and even a few Manjipoor commoner market acquaintances.
Kuru warns Alex the powerful royal rune to shift time back in order to change things has only been used twelve times for extreme emergencies. Reasoning one wouldn't know if the royal user doesn't tell, the scamp keeps abusing it for petty accidents all day when Marcus finally asks her on a real date.
A remark at mother's day from her sanctimonious sister Zoe that Alex is adopted makes her wonder about her magical biological mother, queen Nefari. After Kuru says Omar knew her best, she travels to Manjipoor alone to question him. Vashan spies on them and magically set a trap, entering the queen's magical posthumous vision.
The Bay prepares for a great excitement: there's soon to be the first great robotics competition organized by the Dolphin City University. The events will take place underwater, and Lewis wants badly to win first prize: enrolment in the Science Faculty! Unfortunately, Zane is also participating, and true to form, can only do it by cheating.
After being carried by a current into the underwater stone circle, Rikki is victim of a terrible spell: she cannot turn back into a human! To break the spell, she has to wait for the full moon – in three days' time!
The White Mermaid is in danger! Her sanctuary, the sunken galleon of Edward the Cruel, is about to be discovered by Stanley Finch, the famous explorer. The girls decide to stop him, and make his boat take another course, towards the sinister underwater stone circle.
The girls find some turtle eggs on Dolphin City beach: they are too fragile to move, so they take turns watching over them till they hatch. But that's not counting with Miriam and Zane – who are having a beach party!! Meanwhile, underwater, Bernie, cannot bear all the noise and disruption his neighbors are making, and decides to leave his cave and go and stay elsewhere for a bit of a rest.
In her sleep Cleo creates huge spheres of water that float through the air in Dolphin City, causing chaos. This strange phenomenon is caused by her worries about her Dad, who is on a mission out at sea. And what if Cleo's worries are real? What if her Dad really has fallen into the hands of dangerous outlaws involved in illegal fishing?
The inhabitants of the Bay are overwhelmed: one of the dolphin twins, Robby, has disappeared, captured by an unknown speedboat. Bernie calls on our three mermaids for help: the girls were walking around Dolphin City, which is all decked out for the carnival. But why would anyone kidnap a dolphin?
