Camille

Camille is a courtesan living in Paris, and she falls head over heels for a promising young guy named Armand Duval. Armand's dad, worried about his son's future, asks Camille not to marry Armand so he can focus on his career and social status. Camille agrees and breaks up with Armand, even though it's tough for her. But later, when she's struggling with money and gets really sick, she finds out that Armand still loves her.
