The designers join Tim in a trip of a lifetime, where they gain inspiration for their collections. Later, Tim visits each of the designers at home to check on their progress. The designers are taken to a large warehouse and told that for their next challenge, they will have to bid on storage units in order to obtain their materials. The designers work in teams of two to make a two-piece cohesive collection from the materials they buy. On the second day of their two-day challenge, Tim presents the designers with the task of designing one more look. When the judges cannot decide who to eliminate on the Runway, two designers face off in a one-hour showdown.

For the Mary Kay Challenge, the designers are asked to find a complete stranger on the street to act as their muse (and model) for a makeover. The real women are given a makeup consult, new haircut, and new outfit. One designer runs into trouble with a zipper before the Runway, which leads to a controversial decision.
