More and more plastic bags are polluting Dolphin City Bay, and the turtles mistake the bags for sea-sponges and suffocate on them. Our three mermaids, alerted by their friend Teddy the turtle, tackle the problem. After some unsuccessful attempts, they and Lewis decide to use stronger methods to stir up public opinion.

But when their motorboat's engine fails, they have to spend the night on the island: that night, when Rikki, Emma and Cleo are exploring the island, they fall into a mysterious cave.
