Folly to Be Wise

When Captain Paris takes over at a big army camp as Chaplain and Entertainments Officer, the troops are in for some surprises. Captain Paris finds the Garrison Theatre ill attended, as the troops favor the local hostelries in preference to the succession of feminine string quartets and madrigal singers hitherto engaged for their amusement. Paris sets out to remedy this sad state of affairs, but his idea of staging a Brains Trust with local celebrities as the 'brains' turns out to have disastrous results!

He is a cad and bigamist (or, worse, he has seven wives and identities). His female lawyer tries to keep him out of jail, though he prefers incarceration to multiple matrimony.
