Vidhyashankar Neelamegham, better known as Vidhu, is an Indian actor predominantly working in Tamil Cinema. He is famous for playing antagonists in Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda Double X (2023) and Retro (2025). He initially started as an extra accidentally in the film, Sillunu Oru Kadhal (2006). Since then, he has progressed to work in crowd work and extra-acting in films like Petta (2019). He gained notoriety for the role of Castro in the Kollywood mega-project miniseries, Nava Rasa. He later on worked in films like Bhoomika as Gautham, before getting a role that cemented his fame as a dedicated actor in the industry. Jigarthanda Double X had him play Shettani, a character based completely in silence. He was acclaimed for his performance, aiding in the believabilty of the character. Karthik Subbaraj, the director of the film, was impressed by his dedication and casted him as central antagonist in his next film, Retro. He played hippie-cultist, Michael Mirasu, a challenging villain who had more dialogue compared to Shettani. Yet, Vidhu played the two antagonists with conviction, being praised for both roles. He began his debut as a lead hero in Rathna Kumar's 29. He plays Sathya, a 29-year-old man suffering from an identity crisis.
