以【大將軍號】與卓別林齊名之默片喜劇大師巴斯特基頓，1925年自編自導自演經典作品。一名年輕人在家鄉找不到工作，便前往紐約發展，繁華的大城市卻無法給他任何出路，他只能再跳上火車繼續流浪。機運之下，他來到一個鄉下農場工作，意外與一頭母牛患難見真情。當農場為避免破產，打算將牛群送至洛杉磯屠宰場時，他展現優異才能，展開了一場搶救牛群大作戰！
