安端羅卡（班諾馬吉梅 飾）是一位家族企業的老闆，因為企業經營不善，而不得不申請破產。但透過其會計不經意的資訊中，他得知自己公司未用罄的碳排放量配額可以變現。這讓他想出了一個點子：成立空殼公司，透過鑽法國消費稅法制的漏洞，進行碳排放量配額買賣，而賺取其中的消費稅差額。 這個主意雖然讓他賺了大錢，並順利買回破產的公司，但也讓他和周遭的好友們，引來一連串的殺身之禍…
