罗马有一家名为法国美术学院的著名建筑，是法国青年艺术家的理想居住地之一。有一天，一位导演将数位知名的作家、作曲人和导演等聚集在这里，开启了一场关于艺术的碰撞之旅。卡米拉的到来是为了写一部关于女雕塑家吕西安娜的传记小说，然而卡米拉并不是一位专业的作家，她的丈夫马克才是，不服输的她想在这座最靠近吕西安娜的地方，写出关于她的一切事迹。多次失败的尝试后，她在一个会摄影的女孩身上看到了吕西安娜的影子，在女孩的启发下，卡米拉的写作灵感终于进发，写出了令小说界震惊的著作。
