Stanco di condurre un'esistenza solitaria, recluta l'intrepido esploratore Sir Lionel Frost per guidarlo in un viaggio alla ricerca dei parenti da tempo perduti nella leggendaria valle di Shangri-La. In compagnia dell'avventurosa Adelina Fortnight, affronteranno pericoli e impareranno anche come si possa essere una famiglia anche senza legami di sangue.
