Caroline doit épouser Sir Ralph et invite sa sœur Barbara à être sa demoiselle d'honneur. Barbara séduit Ralph et devient la nouvelle Lady, mais malgré sa nouvelle situation aisée, elle s'ennuie et se tourne vers le brigandage pour trouver des sensations fortes. Sur la route, elle rencontre un célèbre bandit de grand chemin, et ils continuent à faire équipe, mais certaines personnes commencent à soupçonner son identité, et elle risque la mort si elle poursuit ses activités criminelles.
