Summary

“Strays” (2023) is an adult animated comedy about Reggie, an adorably naive border terrier whose devotion to his owner, Doug, blinds him to the fact that he is being neglected and mistreated. When Doug abandons him in the city, Reggie remains convinced that the separation must be some kind of misunderstanding and sets out to find his way home. Along the way, he meets Bug, a foul-mouthed, streetwise stray who views human owners with deep suspicion and considers independence the only sensible way for a dog to live. As Reggie experiences life beyond Doug’s control, his idealized view of his owner begins to crumble.
