Summary

“Weavers” follows Olivia, a woman struggling to cope with the death of her twin sister, Patricia. Emotionally exposed and searching for stability, Olivia is welcomed into a women’s support group that appears to offer understanding, solidarity, and a safe place to grieve. Its members present themselves as a close-knit community bound by mutual care, giving Olivia the sense of belonging she has been missing. As she becomes more involved, however, the group’s comforting rituals and promises of peace begin to feel increasingly restrictive. What first seems like a refuge gradually reveals the darker dynamics of a sect, where support is intertwined with control and personal vulnerability can be exploited.
