Summary

In Saba (2024), a young woman is forced to shoulder the responsibilities of an entire family when her father disappears and her mother, Shirin, is left paraplegic and seriously ill with heart disease. Saba becomes her mother’s sole caregiver, managing the demands of daily life while trying to preserve some sense of independence and hope for herself. The relationship between mother and daughter is loving but deeply strained.
