Summary

“Redlights” (2023) follows two Indigenous women whose evening outing takes a dangerous and increasingly unsettling turn. What begins as a chance to spend time together gradually becomes a struggle to stay safe as the night exposes the risks surrounding them. The women are the film’s emotional center, portrayed not simply as victims of circumstance but as individuals whose bond, instincts, and determination shape their response to the threat. Around them, the nighttime setting becomes almost a character in its own right, turning familiar spaces into places of uncertainty and danger.
