Summary

A Working Man follows Levon Cade, a former black-ops operative who has abandoned his decorated military career in favor of a quieter life working construction. Trying to stay out of the violence and secrecy that once defined him, Levon has built a modest routine and become part of the family of his employer, Joe Garcia. That fragile stability is shattered when Joe’s daughter, Jenny, disappears after falling into the hands of human traffickers. Determined to bring her home, Levon uses the skills he has tried to leave behind: surveillance, interrogation, combat, and an instinct for recognizing danger. His search begins as a personal rescue mission, but it soon leads him through a network involving criminals, compromised officials, and powerful interests. As the investigation widens, Levon must decide how far he is willing to go—and whether the brutal methods of his former life can be used in the service of protecting an innocent person. Jason Statham gives Levon a characteristically physical performance, but the role also emphasizes the man’s exhaustion and desire for redemption.
