Summary

Alpha (2025), directed by Julia Ducournau, follows a troubled 13-year-old girl living with her single mother, Fanny, in a world already shaped by anxiety, secrecy, and social distrust. When Alpha comes home from school with a tattoo on her arm, what might seem like a rebellious act quickly becomes a source of alarm. Rumors and suspicion spread, placing increasing pressure on the fragile relationship between mother and daughter and forcing Alpha to confront the judgment of those around her. At the center of the story is Alpha, played by Mélissa Boros, an isolated adolescent struggling to understand her changing body and emotions.
