Summary

“Killer Content” (2025) follows an ardent fan whose admiration for a popular influencer has grown into an all-consuming obsession. Convinced that proximity to her idol is the key to achieving online fame herself, she takes the influencer hostage and attempts to turn the abduction into the ultimate piece of viral content. What begins as a desperate, carefully imagined bid for internet stardom quickly becomes a tense struggle for control as the hostage resists being reduced to a character in her captor’s fantasy. As the situation unfolds, the influencer’s polished public image starts to look less complete than it appears on-screen. Behind the carefully managed posts, brand-friendly persona, and seemingly enviable lifestyle may be a dangerous secret—one that gives the hostage situation a far more threatening dimension. The influencer must find a way to manipulate the expectations surrounding her while coping with an unpredictable captor who believes she understands the demands of an audience better than anyone else.
