Summary

“Portrait of a Family” follows Jung-gu, a celebrated baseball player, and Nam-mi, a beloved movie star whose successful careers and seemingly perfect marriage have made them one of the country’s most admired celebrity couples. Their carefully ordered life is upended when a young girl named Dong-ju suddenly appears, bringing with her circumstances that fracture the couple’s happiness and leave lasting consequences. Seven years later, Dong-ju becomes connected to the death of a middle-school girl, forcing Jung-gu and Nam-mi back into a painful and complicated situation they thought they had left behind. Although the odds are overwhelmingly against them, the couple chooses to confront the case and fight for what they believe is right, risking their reputations, security, and already fragile relationship in the process.
