Summary

Azzamine follows Jasmine, a tomboyish, easygoing young woman who is not particularly interested in romance or in conforming to other people’s expectations. Her life becomes complicated when her family arranges her marriage to Azzam, a deeply religious man whose calm demeanor, thoughtful words, and quiet kindness seem at odds with Jasmine’s restless personality. Feeling that she is not good enough for him, Jasmine asks Azzam to keep his distance and stop pursuing her. Yet Azzam’s gentleness gradually stays with her, challenging the assumptions she has made about herself and about the kind of person she could love. At the same time, Jasmine is already committed to Deka, her boyfriend of four years, whose long history with her gives their relationship a sense of familiarity and emotional weight. Caught between an established romance and an unexpected connection, Jasmine must confront where her feelings truly lie and what she wants her future to look like. Blending romantic drama with coming-of-age elements, Azzamine explores the tension between personal choice and family expectations, as well as the difference between comfort, commitment, and genuine emotional compatibility. Jasmine’s dilemma also becomes a journey toward self-understanding, asking whether love is defined by the past, by social duty, or by the person who helps her become more honest with herself.
