Superšpión Lance Sterling a vědec Walter Beckett jsou téměř naprostými opaky. Lance je elegantní a kultivovaný gentleman, zatímco Walter je... prostě svůj. Co však Walter postrádá v sociálních dovednostech, to mu vynahrazuje jeho genialita a schopnost tvořit nové vynálezy, které Lance často využívá při svých misích nabitých akcí. Ale když dojde k nečekanému zvratu, Walter a Lance na sebe budou muset spoléhat tak, jako ještě nikdy předtím.
