Alors qu'Andy s'apprête à partir pour l'université, ses anciens jouets se demandent ce qui va leur arriver. Idéalement, ils prendraient leur retraite, tous ensemble dans le grenier. Sous l'insistance de Woody, tous les jouets s'unissent afin de quitter la garderie au plus vite et retrouver Andy avant son départ.
