The Story of Flying Trident
Feicha, or a flying trident, is a type of performance where you balance a revolving trident on your body. In Chinese history, the trident was one of the 18 main weapons of war, but now it has become more of an acrobatic act. For thousands of years, people in China have practiced it as a performance and also as a way to keep fit. It seems like the trident is stuck to the person's body like a magnet, but that effect is achieved by tensing and relaxing muscles at the right time so that the movement of the trident is channeled in the right direction - be it around the hands, neck, or back. Otherwise, its energy will turn against the performer.
