Hidden Japan
Japan is the fourth largest island nation in the world and the second most populous. The culture of Japan is incredible, but even this is overshadowed by nature's beauty. There are more than 130 mammals and an astonishing 600 bird species dwelling in Japan's 6,852 islands. This island chain is so long that it spans several climate zones, providing a huge range of habitat for wildlife. Look beyond the ancient temples and glass skyscrapers and volcanos loom, bears hunt and birds do battle. This is the hidden Japan.
