Plodding amid the dusky shadows of a peaceful piazza is Polpo's macabre Stand, which assails any who dare witness the reigniting of the lighter. Giorno deciphers its method of attack, but is soon staring death in the face as Koichi comes to his aid.
Determined to join the mafia gang Passione, altruistic Giorno is introduced by Bucciarati to the grotesquely corpulent Polpo, an incarcerated capo who tests Giorno's loyalty with a simple but bizarrely lethal test involving a lighter and its flame.

Yoshikage Kira gains a new ability called Bites the Dust, a bomb that automatically kills anyone who tries to discover Kira's identity through Hayato. Hayato tries to warn Rohan Kishibe and the others about Kira without revealing his identity.
Kosaku is forced to kill Hayato after the boy threatens to expose him as a killer. Realizing that his cover will soon be blown, Kosaku is trying to find a way to escape his situation when he is stabbed by Yoshihiro's arrow.
Rohan calls Koichi to help him fight off Cheap Trap, which has attached onto Rohan's back. Koichi thinks Rohan is pulling a prank on him and leaves. Feeling humiliated by Cheap Trap, a furious Rohan decides to leave the house to seek other help.
Rohan finds himself possessed by Masazo Kinoto's Stand, Cheap Trap, who tells the manga artist to burn the photos he took of the people in Morioh. Meanwhile, Josuke and Yuya encounter the Stand user responsible for Koichi's disappearance.
Josuke enters the electrical tower again to save Mikitaka and defeat Toyohiro Kanedaichi. Meanwhile, Rohan receives a visit from a first-class architect named Masazo Kinoto, who's come to estimate the repair costs to his burnt house.
Yoshihiro Kira spots Kosaku Kawajiri and instantly recognizes that it's actually his son, Yoshikage. Meanwhile, Josuke, Okuyasu, and Mikitaka finds a strange man living in an abandoned electrical tower.
Shinobu tells her husband, Kosaku, that she saw a stray cat in their basement with a hole in its throat. When Kosaku goes down to take a look, he finds the cat already dead, The next morning, a strange plant sprouts from the spot where the cat was buried.
Josuke and friends try to cash in the winning lottery ticket they found. However, the bank clerk is not convinced they're the actual owners of the ticket, placing the three teens into a tough spot as they try to talk their way through their big lie.
Josuke and Okuyasu become friends with a Stand user named Shigechi, who can use his Stand to find and collect the money that is scattered across town. Josuke comes up with an idea using Shigechi's Stand to make extra cash for themselves.
Koichi and Rohan discover a alley that does not appear on the map. The two go into the alley, but find themselves unable to get out. Just as Rohan begins to suspect this of being the work of a Stand user, a mysterious girl appears to offer them some help.
Jotaro and Josuke must hunt down a rat that is believed to have become a Stand user after being shot by the bow and arrow. The two find dozens of dead rats killed in the most bizarre fashion, confirming that their target is indeed a threat.
Koichi is drawn back to Rohan's house, where he sees the manga artist finishing up his next manga at an incredible speed. Rohan uses his stand Heaven's Door on Koichi again to gain further creative inspiration from the young boy's life experience.
