The Smurfs want a poem written for each of them. The pressure overwhelms Poet, so he runs away seeking inspiration. The Wilybeast King captures Poet and forces him to write a poem to cheer up the King's daughter. Poet learns that motivation must come from the heart and cannot be forced.

But when Farmer Smurf pulls the gourd out of the ground he frees a genie, which calls him Master and insists on granting him wishes.
