After just meeting each other for the first time, the designers are placed in two teams of eight and told that they will be designing in teams for the entire season. For the first challenge, the designers must create unique and individual looks inspired by NYC. They are judged on how well they do as a team…and the team is only as strong as it's weakest link.

Zanna Roberts Rassi introduces everyone to 16 new designers who will be competing against each other on Project Runway Season 11.

It's the moment of truth for the remaining designers as they each present their final collections to an eager audience at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. One designer is named the winner of Project Runway Season 10, and the rest are unfortunately out.

Tim Gunn travels to visit the designers and assess their progress. In the end, all four remaining designers must present their three best pieces to the judging panel, as the judges are left to decide who will move on to show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

As the designers face their final challenge before Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, they are tasked with their most difficult and creative challenge yet: making an avant-garde look inspired by L'Oreal's new line of makeup called “Electric Fantasie".

For Heidi's challenge, the designers arrive at Babies R Us where they learn that they will be designing an outfit for their youngest clients yet—babies! In a twist of fate, they are also made to take care of “real” babies: dolls that cry when they need to be changed, fed, or burped. And if that wasn't enough, Heidi throws another twist at the designers they also must create a complementary look for the baby's mom to wear.

The designers participate in the always-anticipated Unconventional Materials Challenge of the season. This time around, the designers are tasked with making a garment entirely from items that are found in Dylan's Candy Bar.

For the 10th Anniversary of Project Runway, 16 new designers arrive in NYC with big dreams and a homework assignment: bring a garment that best represents their aesthetic. This year's Unconventional Materials Challenge lives up to its name when the designers arrive at a pet store. When Tim informs them that they will find all the materials they need inside, they quickly realize that this is their opportunity to show the judges how they can think outside the box. Stacey Bendet (Alice + Olivia) guest judges.

20 designers must go in front of Heidi, Michael, Nina, and Tim to make a case for why they deserve one of the 16 coveted spots this season. Once they are chosen, the 16 designers barely have a chance to celebrate before being awoken at the crack of dawn with one of the toughest first challenges in the series' history. Tim wakes up the designers and tells them to grab their bedsheets and come as they are. Their PJ's and bedsheets are their fabric for the first challenge! Actress Christina Ricci guest judges.

In the conclusion of the finale, one designer is named the winner of Project Runway Season 8.

Tim Gunn visits the hometowns of the four remaining designers—but only three will show as finalists at Lincoln Center.
