An all new set of contestants tries to impress Chef Gordon Ramsay with their culinary skills in order to win the coveted position of head chef at New York City's BLT Steak restaurant.

The remaining contestants prepare five-course meals that are judged by five L.A. top chefs and food service executives. Who will be offered the head chef position at Los Angeles' L.A. Market?

The chefs must create fusion dishes by mixing cuisines from two different countries. The winner has a dinner date with Chef Ramsay and their family while the losers participate in "moving day".

The remaining contestants must serve their signature dish out of a food truck to a group of businesspeople.

Using only their eyesight, their noses and their taste buds, the four remaining chefs must re-create a dish without a recipe.

Each chef has thirty minutes to create five servings of an amuse-bouche to be judged by five notable Los Angeles chefs.

To test their teamwork skills, Chef Ramsay challenges the contestants to cook three appetizers in thirty minutes with only minimal communication in between every dish.

Chef Ramsay tests the contestants' palates by having them taste fast food items disguised as five-star hotel cuisine. He then challenges them to a blind taste test.

Chef Ramsay brings in world-renowned chef Masaharu Morimoto for a demonstration, then challenges the aspiring chefs to recreate his dish to exacting standards.

In the season premiere, 16 chefs vie for position of head chef at the luxurious L.A. Market. The contestants meet the new maître d' and prepare signature dishes for Chef Ramsay.

In the season finale, the final two chefs travel to the London West Hollywood to be judged by five of Gordon Ramsay's top chefs.

The last four chefs taste dishes at the Savoy Grill, then must recreate one. The winner spends time with their family on a yach while the losers clean the dormitories.

The four chefs must teach bachelors with no cooking experience how to prepare monkfish. The winner and a chosen guest get to ride on a Goodyear blimp.

Each chef can only spend ten dollars on ingredients for their next meal. A jury of gourmands taste the dishes and estimate how much they would pay for them.

In their first individual challenge, the chefs must create dishes that look as good as they taste. The winner's dish will appear in a food magazine.

The chefs must create unique lobster dishes to be judged by Michelin star chefs. The winners enjoy a visit to a caviar house, followed by a shopping spree.

The remaining chefs must roll the dice to determine their next ingredients. The winning team enjoys a thrilling wind tunnel experience while the losers clean up.

With an emphasis on teamwork, Chef Ramsay challenges the teams to serve lunch to members of the USC Trojans marching band. The chefs cook burgers, salads and fries.

The chefs must cook eggs four different ways. The winners take a helicopter tour of L.A. while the losers unload, gut and fillet a large tuna.

Sixteen chefs — split into teams of men and women — prepare their signature dishes in hopes of becoming a chef at one of Gordon Ramsay's many restaurants.
