Hye-sung trusts Soo-ha's and goes for the not guilty verdict during her first trial. Soo-ha helps Hae-sung with her trial by sending her signals during the hearing.

Hye-sung barely makes the cut as the public defender for Yeon-ju city and gets published in the newspaper. Soo-ha finally gets to meet Hye-sung after 10 years.

With Jung Kyung constantly asking Joon Young whether he still has feelings for her, Joon Young once again tells her how he feels. Later, Song Ah questions Joon Young about his whereabouts last night after seeing him and Jung Kyung ride off in a taxi. When Director Nah asks Joon Young a favor regarding Jung Kyung, he turns down her request. Meanwhile, Song Ah is going through a hard time herself and makes a decision that should've been made a long time ago.

Song Ah has to look for a new accompanist when her last one quits. She asks her acquaintances for help, but she has no luck. Just then, Joon Young offers to play for her. People find out that Song Ah and Joon Young are dating and that Joon Young is playing for Song Ah's grad school exam. Rumors about them spread like wildfire, which makes Song Ah doubt if she made the right decision. Meanwhile, Joon Young looks for paid work performing at a concert.

Seong Jae finds out that Song Ah and Joon Young are dating and calls her for a chat. His bluntness hurts her feelings. Later on, Joon Young joins Song Ah on a sudden trip to Daejeon and shows her around the neighborhood where he grew up. After an unexpected meeting with his mother, Joon Young opens up to Song Ah about more personal matters.

Seong Jae suggests that Joon Young talks about his family on TV for publicity. Joon Young feels both insulted and ashamed, but he holds his ground. The stress caused by his broken friendship and the seemingly perpetual cycle of preparing for competitions starts to wear on Joon Young.

Song Ah becomes all too aware that people are saying Joon Young is on a different level than she is. She loses confidence and keeps trying to distance herself from Joon Young. Meanwhile, Joon Young reacts coldly when he finds Jung Kyung in front of his house. Afterward, Joon Young calls Song Ah, saying he has something to tell her.

Chairman Park tries to leave the country, but Seongryong and Yul are just right on time to stop him. Although they succeed in catching Chairman Park, they still don't have enough evidence to end everything for good. Plus, running low of funds, TQ group is on the verge of going bankrupt. The chairman receives an order from above to get a scapegoat to take all the blame. He chooses Yul to take the fall. Meanwhile, Mr. Kim tries to warn Yul that he is a scapegoat.
