After striking out in St. Tropez, and getting lost in the Italian countryside, Leon finds shelter in 18th Century villa outside Torino, but his luck runs out on the shores of Lake Como.

Leon finds refuge in the world's toughest city, works his way across the Atlantic aboard a cargo ship. A Spanish customs issue threatens to derail his journey, and the music of two African musicians in southern France, inspires his next gift.

Leon goes deep into working life on a cattle ranch in Nebraska – literally. Has bike trouble in Chicago, before being shunned by the Amish, but a chance encounter with a homeless man in Pittsburgh, leaves him transformed and inspires his next gift.

Bill tracks through never ending mud, heavy vegetation and steep mountains, to come face-to-face with our mighty cousins. He also traces the life, and finds the remnants, of the camp of one of his idols - Diane Fossey.

The crew takes an icebreaker to the North Pole just in time to make a satellite phone call to wish Bill's mother a happy birthday (she is so shocked she doesn't recognize him). We also track and film the biggest predators on earth…polar bears.

Ash has made it to Beijing, where he's meeting Terry Townsend to learn more about wildlife conservation in the region around the Great Wall of China. He also meets two more Wall Protectors and samples local delicacies in Shi Xia Village.
