That year the two won the Best Rookie Artist and the Best Folk Album at the prestigious Korean Music Awards. The next year Kim Sa-wol released her first solo album Suzanne and then the second solo album Romance winning a total of 5 awards at the Korean Music Awards between 2014 and 2018. This past September Kim Sa-wol dropped her third release as a solo artist. Titled Heaven It illustrates her honest stories and feelings including loneliness life's uncertainty frustration and more. Her wispy voice and the bittersweet mood blend well in this new masterpiece. Joining us on this week's I'm LIVE is singer-songwriter Lim Heon-il! This artist made his big debut in the music scene after winning the Bronze Award at the 15th Yoo Jae-ha Music Contest in 2004. Since then he has actively pursued his career both as a guitarist and vocalist. As a guitarist he has played for a number of Korea's top artists including Kim Dong-ryul Lim Jae-beom and Lee So-ra. He's also been part of many renowned bands such as iamnot Mate Jeong Won-young Band and Band Bremen. Then in 2013 this artist transformed into a solo artist with the album Becoming a Love. Last year Lim Heon-il took part in Begin Again Season 3 and once again showed off his prowess as a guitarist and vocalist. Then in April this year he released his second album Breathe after a break of 7 years. All the songs in the album were composed written and produced by Lim Heon-il himself perfectly quenching listeners' thirst. The name referred to the height difference between them - 10 cm. In 2017 however one had to leave the group due to personal reasons and the main vocalist Kwon Jung-yeol continued on as a one-person band on his own under the name 10CM. In March 10CM held the first #TogetherAtHome concert in Korea after watching Coldplay singer Chris Martin perform a live concert online for people stuck indoors due to the spread of the coronavirus. Then in October the artist held a real-time online solo performance for the first time as a non-idol musician. In this episode 10CM performs songs from his latest album Winter Breath and Before Our Night Is Over as well as his hits pet Phonecert and Stalker to delight our ears and souls. Joining us on this week's I'm LIVE is the talented vocalist duo GB9! GB9 is composed of Gil-gu and Bong-gu who were known for their exceptional singing skills even before their debut. They sang for a number of top-notch artists as backup vocalists including Lee Juck Park Hyo-shin Kim Jo-han Taeyang Baek Z Young Gummy Lynn Kim Tae-woo and more. The two are also top vocal coaches who taught B1A4 BTOB and Oh My Girl. In 2013 the two made their official debut with the single Going Crazy and instantly captured listeners' hearts. In 2017 the duo's 2014 single I hope it's a breeze made it to the Melon Top 100 Chart and once again proved that the song is a timeless classic. From The King of Mask Singer to Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend the two took part in various music shows and impressed viewers with their artistry. Last month in November GB9 released an emotional ballad called If I knew touching listeners once more in this cold season.
