Meanwhile Masha is keen on the stories about Sherlock Holmes- the genius detective. She dreams to unravel some story and suddenly she gets to the crime scene.
Masha tells her version of the fairy tale about the poor girl called Cinderella. She lived with her stepmother who forced her to work till dawn. One day the stepmother asked Cinderella to crack three bags of nuts. The poor girl would never have managed to complete this task, if only the fairy had appeared in front of her. By magic, the fairy emerged and conjured her Nutcracker, who helped Cinderella to crack all the nuts very fast. The Cinderella was so happy that she took the Nutcracker with her to the ball, which took place in the royal palace. The Nutcracker helped the King to save the palace from rats and Cinderella was so thankful that she kissed him in his cheek. In this very moment the Nutcracker turned into a handsome prince! The moral of the story is that we should not judge the others by their appearance.
Masha tells the fairy tale called «The Swineherd" with the unexpected moral: even the most expensive things will not make the human out of a pig. The story tells about a naughty Princess who was so fond of unusual toys that she actually preferred them to any living creature. The Prince decided to teach the Princess a lesson - he turned into a swineherd and sold his magic pot to the Princess. It was not a usual, pot but it could cook so much porridge that no one can imagine! The Princess was so excited to get a new toy that she did not even ask the swineherd for a magic spell for a pot to stop cooking the porridge. Thus she had to apologize to the Prince and start being more discerning.
The story tells how important it is to listen to the elders. Alyonushka and her brother Ivanushka went to the forest disobeying the parents. The children met the magical stove and the talking apple tree. The stove fed the children some cakes. Ivanushka was thirsty and Alyonushka went to the milk river with jelly shores to quench her brother's thirst. But Ivanushka did not wait for his sister to come back and drank from the puddle. Suddenly he turned into a little goat. The flying flock of swan geese kidnapped Ivanushka, but he managed to escape. Than Ivanushka found his sister and they got out of the forest. Ivanushka has had a long healing process before he could return back to his human look again.
There once lived a very old man with his wife. They were very lonely as they had neither children of their own nor grandchildren. Thus, the old man decided to make a bull made of straw to present to his wife. To avoid it falling apart, the man sealed it with resin. The straw bull-calf brought a lot of joy to the old folks, which proves the point of the whole story that each thing can be useful and valuable.
There lived a boy called Jack. He was so poor that no girl would want to marry him. One day he went to the market to sell the cow and buy himself a suit. On his way to the market Jack met an old man, who offered him to buy a cow for a bean seed. Jack agreed and went home. There he met his mother, who realized that money was spent for nothing and threw away the seed out from the window. At night, when Jack and his mother were sleeping, the seed sprouted and grew into a tall tree. In the morning, Jack has decided to climb this tree. He attempted several times but each time he fell down. Suddenly he noticed a saw a plait hanging next to him from the tree. He pulled it down and suddenly a beautiful girl fell right into his arms. They got married and lived happily ever after. To conclude, only selfless deeds can bring true happiness.
Masha wanted to get a pet - a hedgehog. But the hedgehog didn't want to be a pet and started to run away. What a stubborn hedgehog. But Masha is even more stubborn. He runs, she catches him.
