From the BerryWorks to Strawberry's Café, everyone is excited about who will win this year's Spring Flower Festival! Berry Bitty City is decorated with colorful banners proclaiming the big event. Lemon works the hardest. For weeks she has watered her violets by day and sung to them at night, doing everything she can to win first prize. With the contest just a day away, Lemon is at her garden early.

At the next Storytime, Strawberry is going to read a new poem. We see her at the podium as she finishes writing it, one afternoon when no one else is in the café except Custard and Pupcake. Strawberry clears her throat and reads the poem aloud. It's a simple, sweet rhyme about the magic of making wishes on falling stars. She tries a few different rhymes as she goes, noting them on her paper. She is startled to hear applause from Mr. Longface Caterpillar who has heard her recital.

Strawberry and Orange are dangling their legs in the stream when something tickles Orange's foot. She is sent squealing from the water, certain an eel is after her. Strawberry good-naturedly chuckles at her antics. But Orange gets her dander up and wades into the water to face her "attacker." When she looks down into the water, gazing up at her is the cutest, most adorable, puffy-cheeked fish she's ever seen. It's love at first sight. Orange has to take him home.

When the girls discover that Apple's groove booties can teach the pups to dance, Plum gets an idea for a Doggie Dance Show. Wanting to impress them, Huck offers to have TomTom join the show... despite the pup's obvious dislike of performing in public. It's up to Strawberry to help Huck see that he should not force TomTom into something he just doesn't want to do.

When Apple feels left out of a Berryball game and an advanced ballet class, she invents some "groove booties" programmed to dance to any beat. She temporarily impresses her friends with her dance moves, but when the groove booties go out of control and threaten the town's Berryball game, she is forced to fess up.

With the power completely out in Berry Bitty City, the girls go on a camping trip to be out of the way of the Berrykin work crews. Lemon is nervous because she believes there is a creepy creature in the forest (that she read about in a book Blueberry loaned her), and the girls get the nervous bug, but Strawberry turns their apprehension into fun by daring her friends to stay out in the woods the longest!

Cherry Jam is being driven to distraction! She can't finish a song that she promised to write for a singing group, thanks to the earsplitting noise from Berrykin construction crews who are trying to find the sparkleberry juice blockage that has shut down the town's power. Strawberry can't cook in the café, Lemon's hair salon appliances are running out of control-life in Berry Bitty City is impossible!

Blueberry and Huck turn the Baby Berrykins' favorite fairy tale, "The Littlest Berrykin," into a comedy play. They pitch it to director Plum and the assembled cast and crew using a large storybook. As Huck and Blueberry narrate the story, we push in on the book and its illustrations transition into animation. In the story, the King and Queen of the Berry Patch (played by Huck and Blueberry) are retiring to the tropics.

Strawberry and the girls excitedly plan to put on a "Story Time On Stage" musical play for the Berrykin kids: "Berryella and Prince Berry Charming," directed and choreographed by Plum, with musical direction by Cherry. Strawberry will play Berryella, with Lemon and Blueberry as her comically jealous stepsisters, and costume designer Raspberry as her Fairy Fashionmother.

The Baby Berrykins are enthralled by a fairytale that Blueberry reads to them for Story Time. Charmed by their reaction, Strawberry suggests that the girls do a "berrytale play" for the kids, sort of a "Story Time On Stage." Plum volunteers to direct it. She envisions a small, simple production-until she hears about a gigantic production of "Snowberry and the Seven Berrykins" that's a smash hit in Berry Big City.

When Huckleberry and Blueberry's Patti Persimmon-style mystery story is rejected by an online mystery magazine, Blueberry and Huck have to come up with a new way to raise support for Huckleberry's Hotel for Homeless Pets back in Berry Big City. Strawberry suggests they hold a big dog show! Plum makes over-ambitious plans to display talents that her dog does not quite have, trying to teach him complicated dance routines.

Berrykins Ed and Earl report to Princess Berrykin and Strawberry that they are certain there is a monster in the berry patch! They saw something with many noses and many tails making weird noises in the bushes. But upon further investigation by Strawberry and her friends, it is discovered that friendly boy Huckleberry Pie was driving his pet-mobile of orphan dogs through the countryside, took a wrong turn and got stuck near Berry Bitty City.

Strawberry, Cherry and the girls form a new band, Strawberry and the Sweet Beats, and prepare to go on the road to perform at the Opening Ceremony of the Berry Big City Games! While master mechanic Berrykin Bruce turns Cherry's tour bus into the band's hotel-on-wheels, Strawberry and her friends pack for the big trip. But the rest of Berry Bitty City points out that someone needs to run the girls' businesses while they are gone.

It appears winter is finally coming to an end and Raspberry is planning a big fashion show to display her spring line. Her vision is to have the girls model her fashions in a parade past the town fountain. What she didn't realize is that the Berrykins are turning the fountain into a big water show. Every time the girls come to rehearse, they must comically dodge jets of fruit juice from the out-of-control fountain-the Berrykins are still working out the bugs.

It's another windy winter day, and the postal bees are staying indoors-the wind is too strong for their berry bitty wings. "We don't know when the next mail will get through!" It's bad news for Blueberry, who has been anxiously awaiting the next installment of a Patty Persimmon Detective story. If only she could get to the post office in Berry Bitty Dale where her package is waiting!

With only a few days of summer left, the girls are about to enjoy their first vacation in their newly-created, tropical beach resort at Berry Bitty Lake, when who should descend upon them but Mavis Maraschino, the comically over-the-top "Entertainment Tonight"-style show host. Mavis has dumped her focus on fashions in favor of an even glitzier show called Lifestyles of the Berry Big Bitty Stars, and she wants her first segment to be about how pop superstar Cherry Jam spends her vacation.

It's the last week of summer and Berry Bitty City is hopping with activity as the girls prepare for their tropical island vacation at Berry Breezy Bay Resort. But just as they're about to leave, bad news: the resort is closed for the season due to berry breezy weather. The girls are disappointed, but Orange isn't giving up. She says if they can't go to the tropical island, maybe they can bring the tropical island here!

With the summer almost over, Blueberry overhears Strawberry talking about a wonderful tropical island and believes her friend is going to surprise them all with a much needed vacation! Blueberry makes the other girls promise to keep the secret until Strawberry reveals the big surprise. Of course, even though they've promised to keep the secret, they can't help but try and suss out what the island's like from every little thing Strawberry does.

Raspberry is discovered by a talent scout who wants her to move to Berry Big City and design a new line of Glitter fashions! She will be provided with her own studio, staff, publicity, commitments from big department stores-everything she needs to be a big fashion designing star! All her friends are thrilled for her. Only Cherry is a bit less enthusiastic about Raspberry's stardom, which Raspberry mistakenly interprets as jealousy.
