From the BerryWorks to Strawberry's Café, everyone is excited about who will win this year's Spring Flower Festival! Berry Bitty City is decorated with colorful banners proclaiming the big event. Lemon works the hardest. For weeks she has watered her violets by day and sung to them at night, doing everything she can to win first prize. With the contest just a day away, Lemon is at her garden early.
While sipping cider in Strawberry's café, the girls muse about how they cannot wait for winter to arrive. They list the various traditions they love about the season but the one they all agree on is the Glimmerberry Ball. Strawberry mentions that she doesn't think the café can hold the party this year because of how the town has grown. The girls decide to split up and search for a new location.
A fantasy episode in which Strawberry, Rainbow Sherbet, Blueberry Muffin, Coco Calypso, and Seaberry Delight imagine themselves as Mermaids, drawn into a grand adventure. Hearing about a fabled treasure of golden sand-dollars, they set out to find it.
It's time again for the Dance-Off between the Big Bitty City Dance Team and the Berry Bitty City Dancers. Plum is stressed out and frazzled because she desperately wants to win. And the Big Bitty City Dancers are a force to be reckoned with. They are elegant and beautifully synchronized. Plum shows the girls a maze of dance steps that she's choreographed in the hopes of creating a winning piece. The problem is, the contest is only 1 week away!
Strawberry opens her front door to a throng of Berrykins all cheering for the new BerryFest Princess. She is appreciative of their admiration but unsure of exactly what her duties entail. In response the Berrykins bombard her with her duties - major to miniscule. One Berrykin sums it up by telling her she's responsible for presiding over all the activities of the BerryFest to make it the best.
The grove around Berry Bitty City is abuzz with activity. The Berrykins are using their sparkles to harvest berries, Berrykin Bloom is in his garden spraying flowers with a special solution to make them larger, and Raspberry is nearby gathering flower petals to make perfume. The wind starts to blow and picks up some of the sparkles. The sparkles float along the wind and get combined with some of Berrykin Bloom's solution.
The girls are driven to distraction by their frisky puppies frolicking all over Berry Bitty City! Full of energy and thinking that everything in town is a toy for them to play with, they cause comical mayhem wherever they go. Strawberry suggests the pups need a place of their own where they can play, a dog park! The girls decide to call in Huckleberry, who runs an animal hotel in Berry Big City, to help design the park.
Berrykin Bloom's braggart cousin, Berrykin Bertram, has won the hot sauce competition at the local county fair year after year.
Raspberry is distraught when she suspects her friends have copied her design on her lantern for the "Glimmerberry Gathering".
With all the Baby Berrykins running around Berry Bitty City, Princess Berrykin decides to build a Day Care Center and playground. But she's worried because it's dull-looking - all grey metal and brown wood. She asks Strawberry whom might be good to help her out. And two names immediately come to her mind - Lemon and Raspberry! The Princess confesses she's always admired their sense of design and style.
Berrykins Ed and Earl report to Princess Berrykin and Strawberry that they are certain there is a monster in the berry patch! They saw something with many noses and many tails making weird noises in the bushes. But upon further investigation by Strawberry and her friends, it is discovered that friendly boy Huckleberry Pie was driving his pet-mobile of orphan dogs through the countryside, took a wrong turn and got stuck near Berry Bitty City.
Lemon and Raspberry hire twins Sweet & Sour to help out in Strawberry's café, so Strawberry will have time to appear in an internet fashion contest.
Strawberry, Cherry and the girls form a new band, Strawberry and the Sweet Beats, and prepare to go on the road to perform at the Opening Ceremony of the Berry Big City Games! While master mechanic Berrykin Bruce turns Cherry's tour bus into the band's hotel-on-wheels, Strawberry and her friends pack for the big trip. But the rest of Berry Bitty City points out that someone needs to run the girls' businesses while they are gone.
Strawberry Shortcake's friends watch her with wide eyes as she everrrrr-so-gently squirts a layer of blueberry smoothie into a tall glass, trying to not disturb the five other multi-colored layers beneath it. It's her tenth attempt to create the world's first Rainbow Smoothie! She has even painted one wall of her café rainbow colors in honor of the soon-to-be new item on the menu. No one dares breathe for fear of spoiling the delicate touch of a master smoothie-squirter at work.
Strawberry is at Orange's store to mail a birthday card to a friend in Big Bitty City. Just after she drops the card into the mail slot, an ill postal carrier bee sneezes sending envelopes and post cards flying in all directions. The two girls help Jadeybug, a postal clerk, and Postmaster Bee gather up the strewn letters and the ill bee gets sent home from work.
Sour teasing Apple escalates into a "prank war" between the two of them. After the girls' feud disrupts the town, they are sentenced in a Berry Bitty City-style trial to camp alone together for a whole weekend. Miraculously, they emerge best buds, and their friends are relieved, until Sour's influence on Apple turns her into a mini-Sour, and they have to do a personality "makeover" on Apple.
When a storm causes a giant boulder to cut off Berry Bitty City's water supply, Strawberry and the girls face the possibility of having to move away from their homes. With the help of Mr. Longface Caterpillar, the girls set out on an adventure to save their town.
With only a few days of summer left, the girls are about to enjoy their first vacation in their newly-created, tropical beach resort at Berry Bitty Lake, when who should descend upon them but Mavis Maraschino, the comically over-the-top "Entertainment Tonight"-style show host. Mavis has dumped her focus on fashions in favor of an even glitzier show called Lifestyles of the Berry Big Bitty Stars, and she wants her first segment to be about how pop superstar Cherry Jam spends her vacation.
It's a busy day at Lemon's salon, a charming place that is more than just a hair salon it's one of favorite places for Strawberry and her friends to relax and socialize. All the girls are getting their hair done for the gala grand opening of Mr. Longface's new lawn-bowling and croquet club. They're spirited and laughing and chatting and having a great time, as Lemon runs from one of her friends to the next, doing hair and nails, serving tea and cookies.
When Huckleberry and Blueberry's Patti Persimmon-style mystery story is rejected by an online mystery magazine, Blueberry and Huck have to come up with a new way to raise support for Huckleberry's Hotel for Homeless Pets back in Berry Big City. Strawberry suggests they hold a big dog show! Plum makes over-ambitious plans to display talents that her dog does not quite have, trying to teach him complicated dance routines.
