Strawberry Shortcake is planning a first birthday party for her sister Apple Dumpling, so she sets off on an adventure to find the perfect party supplies.

When Strawberryland's one movie theatre goes out of business, Strawberry has an idea to save it: she and her friends can film a movie to show there and attract crowds back to the theatre.

Strawberry Shortcake's childhood friend, Lime Lite, has hit it big in Berrywood, movie capital of Strawberryland. Unfortunately, she's become a bit of a diva in the process, and her self-centered behavior is about to cut her career short.

This is the story of "Rapunzel", but with a twist. Princess Rapunzel (Rainbow Sherbet) has always preferred being called Rap and liked doing things her way.

Out gathering berries one day, Strawberry & her pets find a tiny fairy among the berry vines. Realizing that Strawberry is a very kind & caring person, the little fairy decides to take advantage of the kid's good nature.

"When the East Wind blows, it means your berry favorite dream will come true," or that's what Strawberry Shortcake's always heard and she believes it. Strawberry dreams of a world where she and her friends can grow better everyday. But when a poor berry crop puts a strain on the Strawberryland resources, it puts a strain on Strawberry's friends, too. And when the strain causes a falling-out among them, it's a nightmare for Strawberry Shortcake.

While working in her store, Orange overhears the Berrykins laughing and shouting outside. When she goes to the door to investigate, a clump of dandelion fluff gets blown inside chased by three Berrykins. She watches as they head butt the clump around until it floats back toward Orange. Just as it floats close, she gives it a bat sending it outside and the Berrykins happily chasing after it. Wanting in on the fun, she joins them.

With the summer almost over, Blueberry overhears Strawberry talking about a wonderful tropical island and believes her friend is going to surprise them all with a much needed vacation! Blueberry makes the other girls promise to keep the secret until Strawberry reveals the big surprise. Of course, even though they've promised to keep the secret, they can't help but try and suss out what the island's like from every little thing Strawberry does.

Berry Bitty City is holding its first city-wide talent show! Hearing that it's the music students of superstar Cherry Jam, a talent scout from Big Bitty City plans to show up. Strawberry and her friends excitedly anticipate her arrival.

Cherry Jam is being driven to distraction! She can't finish a song that she promised to write for a singing group, thanks to the earsplitting noise from Berrykin construction crews who are trying to find the sparkleberry juice blockage that has shut down the town's power. Strawberry can't cook in the café, Lemon's hair salon appliances are running out of control-life in Berry Bitty City is impossible!

Berrykins Ed and Earl report to Princess Berrykin and Strawberry that they are certain there is a monster in the berry patch! They saw something with many noses and many tails making weird noises in the bushes. But upon further investigation by Strawberry and her friends, it is discovered that friendly boy Huckleberry Pie was driving his pet-mobile of orphan dogs through the countryside, took a wrong turn and got stuck near Berry Bitty City.

Plum decides to hold a dance recital at Strawberry's Café Cabaret stage and sends out a stack of invitations. She forgets, however, to check the sign-up sheet at the Café and schedules it for the same night as Blueberry is scheduled to read to the baby Berrykins. Strawberry tells Plum she cannot hold the recital in the Café on her chosen day because the Café is booked.

While rehearsing a song alone in her cafe, Strawberry is interrupted by the arrival of Jadeybug. The poor ladybug is stressed out because her twin cousins, Kadiebug and Sadiebug, left her a message that they are coming to visit for a whole week. Jadey is unable to host them because she's having her guest room repainted.

The girls are all gathered at the café. Strawberry is experimenting making applesauce from scratch with a mallet (and making a mess) while the rest busily make their own wrapping paper and bows for the annual gift exchange they hold in celebration of First Frost. Mr. Longface stops by and Strawberry offers him some fresh applesauce but he declines, as he doesn't care for it. He's only there for some tea and, being that he's new in town, doesn't know what the group is up to.

Friends from all over the world descend on Strawberryland to take part in the first Great Friendship Festival. Strawberry thinks the festival will provide a wonderful opportunity to see the world through different eyes.

Orange wants to spend the day teaching her puppy to fetch, but the frisky little gal doesn't seem to understand the "retrieve" part of the activity-as soon as she gets the ball, she runs out of sight and returns moments later without it. Orange gets a new ball and tries again, with the same results. Over and over, until Orange is out of balls. Puzzled and frustrated that she can't find where her pup has stashed them, she goes to enlist her friends to help her search.

Blueberry ordered some Zippy Gro daisy seeds and planted them in her garden. She is surprised that they've sprouted in less than a day despite their descriptive moniker. Strawberry comes by to admire them and Blueberry is reminded that the new cookbook Strawberry ordered has arrived. Strawberry is excited to try out the new corn muffin recipe, as its level of difficulty will be a challenge for her. Strawberry follows the muffin recipe, mixes the ingredients, and double checks it.
