Strawberry Shortcake travels to magical Holidayland with Honey Pie Pony, searching for the perfect presents to give her friends. A trip to the North Pole and a visit with Santa make this adventure truly wonderful, until a pile of melting snowballs turns Strawberry's carefully selected presents into a soggy mess. It all ends well, though, when Strawberry's friends remind her that the best gift of all is the gift of friendship.

While sipping cider in Strawberry's café, the girls muse about how they cannot wait for winter to arrive. They list the various traditions they love about the season but the one they all agree on is the Glimmerberry Ball. Strawberry mentions that she doesn't think the café can hold the party this year because of how the town has grown. The girls decide to split up and search for a new location.

It's another windy winter day, and the postal bees are staying indoors-the wind is too strong for their berry bitty wings. "We don't know when the next mail will get through!" It's bad news for Blueberry, who has been anxiously awaiting the next installment of a Patty Persimmon Detective story. If only she could get to the post office in Berry Bitty Dale where her package is waiting!

The girls are all gathered at the café. Strawberry is experimenting making applesauce from scratch with a mallet (and making a mess) while the rest busily make their own wrapping paper and bows for the annual gift exchange they hold in celebration of First Frost. Mr. Longface stops by and Strawberry offers him some fresh applesauce but he declines, as he doesn't care for it. He's only there for some tea and, being that he's new in town, doesn't know what the group is up to.

Strawberry Shortcake's childhood friend, Lime Lite, has hit it big in Berrywood, movie capital of Strawberryland. Unfortunately, she's become a bit of a diva in the process, and her self-centered behavior is about to cut her career short.

"When the East Wind blows, it means your berry favorite dream will come true," or that's what Strawberry Shortcake's always heard and she believes it. Strawberry dreams of a world where she and her friends can grow better everyday. But when a poor berry crop puts a strain on the Strawberryland resources, it puts a strain on Strawberry's friends, too. And when the strain causes a falling-out among them, it's a nightmare for Strawberry Shortcake.

Overhearing Blueberry reading a story to the baby Berrykins about the scary Galumphalot, Orange is uncharacteristically shaken. She determines she doesn't want anything scary around her, just relaxation. But while the girls are having a hair-styling party at Lemon's salon, a malfunction at the BerryWorks causes the whole town to go dark. And Orange begins to get really anxious.

All of Berry Bitty City is excitedly making their way through the berry batch in search of the elusive Wanderberry. It is to be the dessert at the BerryFest Feast. Everyone is milling about searching for it on their own when Blueberry points out that the rules say the BerryFest Princess is in charge of the search. The girls turn to her for direction and she points them where she thinks the berry might be.

Strawberry opens her front door to a throng of Berrykins all cheering for the new BerryFest Princess. She is appreciative of their admiration but unsure of exactly what her duties entail. In response the Berrykins bombard her with her duties - major to miniscule. One Berrykin sums it up by telling her she's responsible for presiding over all the activities of the BerryFest to make it the best.

Plum decides to hold a dance recital at Strawberry's Café Cabaret stage and sends out a stack of invitations. She forgets, however, to check the sign-up sheet at the Café and schedules it for the same night as Blueberry is scheduled to read to the baby Berrykins. Strawberry tells Plum she cannot hold the recital in the Café on her chosen day because the Café is booked.

While at Orange's general store to pick up a package, Berrykin Bloom chats with Orange about the pogostick he gave her to help her reach the upper shelves. She is very appreciative. He ends up getting a package of special berry seeds he ordered, not the vacation magazine Orange thought he came for. He explains how the seeds were a better purchase because of all the benefits to the Berryworks but now he can no longer afford a vacation.

While rehearsing a song alone in her cafe, Strawberry is interrupted by the arrival of Jadeybug. The poor ladybug is stressed out because her twin cousins, Kadiebug and Sadiebug, left her a message that they are coming to visit for a whole week. Jadey is unable to host them because she's having her guest room repainted.

Strawberry is at Orange's store to mail a birthday card to a friend in Big Bitty City. Just after she drops the card into the mail slot, an ill postal carrier bee sneezes sending envelopes and post cards flying in all directions. The two girls help Jadeybug, a postal clerk, and Postmaster Bee gather up the strewn letters and the ill bee gets sent home from work.

It's a busy day at Lemon's salon, a charming place that is more than just a hair salon it's one of favorite places for Strawberry and her friends to relax and socialize. All the girls are getting their hair done for the gala grand opening of Mr. Longface's new lawn-bowling and croquet club. They're spirited and laughing and chatting and having a great time, as Lemon runs from one of her friends to the next, doing hair and nails, serving tea and cookies.
